INSTALLATION
Set up in a few minutes.
No Terminal setup is required. The Device Agent is included with MCPtoAI Desktop and is installed from inside the app.
Move it to Applications
Drag MCPtoAI onto the Applications folder shown in the installer window.
Open MCPtoAI
Open MCPtoAI from Applications. The release is Developer ID signed and notarized by Apple.
Install the Device Agent
Choose Install on this device. MCPtoAI installs its bundled Device Agent and guides you through optional macOS permissions.
Connect your account
Select Connect Account, complete sign-in in your browser, then return to MCPtoAI. Your Mac is now available to your MCPtoAI workspace.
Add your AI provider
Open AI Providers, add your provider API key and choose a model. Credentials are stored locally using the operating system credential store.
MACOS PERMISSIONS
You decide what MCPtoAI can access.
Accessibility, Files & Folders, Screen Recording, Microphone and Camera permissions are optional and only needed for the device capabilities you choose to use. MCPtoAI also lets you set tool access to Off, Ask or Allow.
Windows
The Windows Desktop release is not available yet.
